At the exit meeting the evaluators will deliver a summary of their findings from WSU’s Year Seven Self-Evaluation Report and on-site evaluation.

The president and provost both appreciate the efforts of students, faculty and staff that contributed throughout the accreditation review process.

Representatives from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) will visit Washington State University April 9–11 for an onsite accreditation review. Faculty and staff, graduate, and undergraduate students are encouraged to attend their respective open forum on Monday, April 9, which will allow for a unique opportunity to meet with the Evaluation Committee.

• Open forum for faculty and staff, 2:45-3:30 p.m.
• Open forum for graduate students, 2:00-2:45 p.m.
• Open forum for undergraduate students, 3:30-4:15 p.m.

All sessions will be held at the following locations:

Washington State University has published its Year Seven Self-Evaluation Report in preparation for the visit. The report can be found online along with a set of frequently asked questions. The report focuses on NWCCU’s five core standards, and includes responses to past recommendations from NWCCU. WSU’s accreditation was most recently reaffirmed in 2013. Accreditation of an institution of higher education by NWCCU indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality evaluated through a peer review process.

The Office of the Provost is pleased to invite all interested faculty, staff and students to attend a brief preview of what to expect during the upcoming on-site accreditation review of Washington State University by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). During this visit, taking place April 9-11, an evaluation team will hold open meetings with faculty, staff, and students, which we encourage you to attend.

At the pre-accreditation overview meetings, representatives from the Office of the Provost will briefly explain the accreditation process and answer questions university community members may have.
